It's true. We arrived at 5:30 London time. Sorry for the late post. We had no time at the airport or at the hotel before it was time to eat. We all needed food. We also all need a shower and a good night's sleep. We all seemed to have hit some kind of wall tonight, and we're hoping to find our rested, restored, and best selves in the morning.
We've asked the Girls to call home. Kristi is trying to figure out how to use the phone cards with the phone system. It looks a bit like a credit card is necessary, and that's not what we were told. Moms and Dads, keep your fingers crossed!
We've met folks we will be with on Friday. Initial impressions weren't great, and we understand that members of Troop 264 are more outgoing than a lot of other young people and the day was long ... for both groups. We're all prepared to play nicely tomorrow.
The Girls have identified what they'd like to do during our free time on Friday, and we're hoping to fit all that in. We're also hoping for sunshine, but it's London, so there's little reason to be optimistic about that, but good attitudes, bright smiles, and engaging spirits can work miracles, and we have all that in abundance!
Good night ... from London.
This just in: Kristi tells me that the group we're with were sitting in the hall and greeted our Girls, so connections have been made. It's all good!
